A great way to quieten the constant chatter in your mind is to concentrate on the now. Focus on what you are doing right now and not on your thoughts - which usually relate to something that happened in the past or may happen in the future. Really concentrate on what you are doing. Even if it is something as simple as washing dishes - focus on the bubbles, the smell, the feel of the dishes - bring yourself into the now.
